NBA Draft – Who Should Stay in School This Year

Take a minute from those NBA Finals odds and start thinking ahead to next year, specifically the draft which takes place on June 24th at Madison Square Garden, and here’s a look at a few players that should stay an extra year, at least, on campus. 프리미어리그중계 could be outlandish, but these are the top five that come to mind.

James Anderson, Oklahoma State (no agent)

Hopefully, GMs learned from Oklahoma City’s top-five pick last year, which turned out to be James Harden at No.3. Not that Harden is a bad player, but he’s a role player, much like what Anderson projects to be at the next level. Anderson was the Big 12 Player of the Year, left Stillwater after three years, but he struggled in the conference and NCAA tournaments. Anderson isn’t as quick as you’d like him to be, either.

Eric Bledsoe, Kentucky (no agent)

Bledsoe can still back out as he hasn’t hired an agent, but this kid has the potential to be a top-five pick in two years, like classmates John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins will be this year. Bledsoe is an excellent defender for his size, and he’s a great three-point shooter, but he’s not a ball-handler and at 6’1″, he’ll be at the point in the pros. Had he went anywhere else but Kentucky, he’d be a star, but if he stays at Lexington, he can still be one.

Avery Bradley, Texas (no agent)

Bradley should remind those who are watching the Heat vs Celtics odds of Miami’s Mario Chalmers: a strong defensive guard who isn’t really a point, but will be in the NBA because of his size. But at least Chalmers was a junior when he came out. Bradley spent one year in Austin before bolting, and he could have used that year to improve his ball-handling and shot selection. He struggled badly over the second half of the season.

Ed Davis, North Carolina (agent)

GMs have been falling over Davis since last year when he was a freshman with the championship-winning Tar Heels, but as a sophomore, there weren’t many games that made you yell “star” when you saw him. Of course, that could have been because he was on a terrible team. Davis has wonderful defensive instincts, but he’s still raw offensively, and he missed the last part of the season with a broken wrist. He’s projecting as a lottery pick, but basketball betting players should beware.
